Most of the cast and crew have gone onto bag promising projects ever since Karthik Rathnam being one among them who’s made the most of his opportunities.

While he surprised one and all with a super-energetic, intense act in Anish Kuruvilla’s Gods of Dharmapuri, the announcement of him being cast in Narappa as Venkatesh’s elder son Muni Kanna comes as a pleasant surprise. It’s certainly a shot in the arm for the young actor sans any Godfather in the industry to be featured in a second film associated with a prestigious banner like Suresh Productions. The move provides hope for a lot of talented youngsters keen for opportunities to make it big.

Narappa is the official remake of the Tamil rural action-drama Asuran featuring Dhanush, Manju Warrier, that reflected atrocities committed in the name of caste with a never-seen-before intensity. Karthik Rathnam, going by the original, certainly has a crucial role to play in the film. The actor is also looking forward to the Tamil remake of C/O Kancharapalem titled C/O Kaadhal, reprising the role he had played in the original – Joseph.
