To the much disappointment of Mahesh Babu fans, they have to wait a bit longer to catch their Superstar on the screen. The makers have announced a new release date which is May 9th instead of April 25th. Apparently, filmmaker Vamsi Paidipally is known to take a sweet time to complete the film, hence he would be able to complete the shoot only by April 16. POst this, the film would take also take time to complete post-production. The teams then would also need to take out time to promote the film, hence the producers have locked May 9th as the new release date.

Maharshi is touted to revolve around societal issues which has an angle of farmers in it. Mahesh had earlier expressed that the film is close to his heart and the Superstar again expressed his affinity for Maharshi stating, “Maharshi is a film very close to my heart and we all have worked very hard on it. It will be a landmark film in my slate”
