Director Maruthi’s daughter Hiya Dasari’s work drew the attention of acclaimed Hollywood cinematographer Dan Laustsen, who has worked for films like John Wick: Chapter 2, The Shape of Water, etc. The cinematographer appreciated Hiya’s photography skills on photo-sharing app, Instagram.
The news was shared by filmmaker himself, who wrote, “My daughter @Hiya2576 is super happy & says John wick DOP dan laustsen liked her photography on insta She captured the photo with cell phone light. Proud of my child.” The image which caught the cinematographer was clicked on Sony Alpha A6600 with a Godox flash. Not many know that Hiya is pursuing photography and aspire to be a one. Interestingly, star-kids usually tend to chose profession in front of camera, however Hiya has rather chosen a different beat.
