The shelving of Sukumar-Mahesh Babu film is the talk of the T town these days. There were high expectations on this project as it was a crazy combo. After an intense drama like One Nenokkadine, one expected another gripping film from them. Even as everyone was eagerly waiting for the film to go on sets, came the shocker that the project was completely shelved. Sources say Mahesh Babu’s wife Namrata is mainly responsible for this.
Sources say Namrata, who is responsible for building brand Mahesh and planning his career moves, has decided that Mahesh should not do a film with Sukumar. The issue was Sukumar wanted dates for ten months during which Mahesh should not do any other film. Also, Mahesh should spend at least a couple of months for a new look. Namrata, who knows how important Mahesh Babu’s dates are, did not agree to these. She also impressed upon Mahesh that Suku’s films might get him a name, but that may not necessarily translate into money. She reportedly told him that he could earn the same amount within three months if she takes up Anil Ravipudi’s project. It is because of all these that Mahesh chose to work with Anil and not Suku.
