Nara Lokesh files petition on RGV's Vyooham

Nara Lokesh, the TDP National General Secretary, has taken legal action against Ram Gopal Varma’s movie ‘Vyooham.’ Lokesh filed a petition in the Telangana High Court, asking for the cancellation of the movie’s censor certificate. He listed various respondents in his plea, including the Central Board of Film Certification’s Regional Office, the revising committee, Ramadutha Creations, producer Dasari Kiran Kumar, and director Ram Gopal Varma. Additionally,

Lokesh appealed to the producer to stop the film’s release. The court is set to review the petition on the 26th of this month.

Lokesh accused Ram Gopal Varma of favoring Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy while showing dislike towards Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. He claimed that the movie misrepresented Chandrababu Naidu and suggested that the entire film may align with what is seen in the trailer. Lokesh’s petition argues that the movie unfairly damages Chandrababu Naidu’s reputation. He emphasizes Chandrababu Naidu’s years of committed and transparent service, claiming the film aims to defame him to benefit his political rival, Jaganmohan Reddy.

Furthermore, Lokesh criticized the filmmakers, alleging that their actions violate Chandrababu Naidu’s rights and dishonor the political party. He also highlighted the financial aspect, mentioning previous films by the director-producer duo that reportedly didn’t generate profits.

Despite expected losses, Lokesh alleges that ‘Vyooham’ was produced with the intention of benefiting Jaganmohan Reddy, suggesting the latter played a role in the movie’s production.
