Radhe ReviewNow that the lockdown is on, Radhe is the first big film that is out on OTT. The Prabhu Deva-directed film is now streaming and, read our review to know if the film has any juice.

Story

Radhe aka Salman Khan is the most-wanted cop in Mumbai. But he is suspended due to his aggressive avatar. On the other hand, the city of Mumbai is in neck-deep problems due to Rana(Randeep Hooda) who is a crazy drug peddle. The cops assign Radhe to bring down this drug mafia and how does Sallu Bhai does this is the story.

Performances

Megha Akash, the Telugu heroine gets a small role in the film and she is good. Tamil actor Bharath is wasted in the film. Jackie Shroff looks like a big joker in the film. He is a top cop but is made a silly Buffon by Salman time and again. Randeep Hooda is the best part of Radhe as his role makes some sense. He is menacing and gives the role a good punch.

Disha Patani is glamorous and has been showcased in a good way. But her track from Salman Khan reminds us of Asin and Aamir’s track from Gajini. The comedy is the same. Last but not the least, Salman Khan has worked on his looks and is fit. He has also danced well and is in a laid-back attitude. Such roles are easy and Salman Khan put in no effort.

Analysis

Radhe is the remake of the Korean film Outlaws and is a scene-to-scene copy. Prabhu Deva has been roped in just to call the shots and his direction is pathetic. Salman Khan is sleepwalking the role and Prabhu has to make sure he looks good. The film starts well and has decent emotion and premise.

But once the main plot is unleashed things fall like a pack of cards and Radhe turns into a big mess. The comedy angle, romance, and so many abrupt scenes make this film a boring affair. Disha’s role is over the top. The villain is let off so free time and again and this is made o look so bad.

Songs are good but they spoil the flow in the film. Radhe has many issues and if it was a big-screen release, things would have been different. But as it is an OTT watch, things can get really boring and frustrating for the audience.

Bottom Line – Just skip this one
