Senseless pranks on April 1, just to fool themselves
Readers feel rather shocked reading anything remotely interesting when a publication comes up with a prank on April 1. People would only realise it later that the news they read was false and was a prank on “Fools’ Day”.

The dailies irrespective of vernacular and English ones which have large readerships too used to weave such stories every year. But since information is available in bits and pieces on social media, nowadays newspapers are making it hard to make people believe their package of news.

Take for example the prank that ‘Aha’ played on Saturday marking fools’ day (April 1st). It announced that it is venturing into the newspaper business as well as satellite digital space very soon. With a bunch of newspapers lying untouched at the stacks, why would anyone care if ‘Aha’ comes up with the idea of launching a news daily? – is the question that popped up in the reader.

Moving on, ‘Kanthara’ star Rishab Shetty is pissed off with the news piece being circulated on social media that he will soon be taking a plunge into politics. Why does anyone care if an actor like Rishab who is a novice in the field, joins mainstream politics? The poor actor had to make it official, urging the press persons not to take it seriously. And told the media that the news is false.

Netizens feel why the people behind are making pranks without knowing the reality of what’s happening in society. Probably to make fools of themselves.
