Shershaah Review

Shershaah is a biopic on Indian soldier Vikram Batra. The film is out on Amazon Prime Video and, read our review to see if the film has any juice in it or not.

Plot

The film is about Vikram Batra played by Siddharth Malhotra. He always wanted to join the Indian army and when he joins, he gets into the biggest battle called the Kargil war between India and Pakistan. How will he fight the war is the story of Sheshah.

Performances

Siddharth Malhotra is amazing as Vikram Batra. He breathed life into the role and was superb in all the emotional war scenes. His performance was superb in the climax part of the film where he loses his life. Kiara Advani was also good but she does not have much time on screens. The supporting cast is bad as they do not create much depth in the film.

Analysis

The film showcases the life of Vikram Batra from his childhood onwards. The film is a serious drama and deals more with how Vikram daringly approached the Kargil war and how he fought with a young team and gave India victory in Kargil.

Karan Johar has produced the film and he has made sure that the budget is not compromised at all. So, the camerawork is good and BGM was astounding. But the film is not short of demerits as it has a weak supporting cast which does not go well.

Shershah is directed by Vishnuvardhan and he made a good south debut with this film. His taking and grip on emotions in the last part was very good and ends the film on an emotional note. Though this film has a few glitches, it is patriotic and sensible. So give it a shot.

Bottom Line – Siddharth Malhotra’s game-changer
