Thammareddy Bharadwaj has bought the dubbing rights of Telugu film Aame. Praising the actress for her bold work, he said, “Amala Paul’s performance in it have left me in shock because I’ve never seen a film like this in over my 40-years career”. He goes on to add that he feels fortunate to have collaborated with the team adding no actress is like Amala in the current generations.
Not just Amala, but Thammareddy appreciates director Ratna Kumar. “Ratna Kumar is very passionate about films. Each and every shot of the film is simply superb,” he says. The trailer has garnered huge appreciation from all quarters including netizens as well. Of late, Amala has spoken about why she chose Aame who stated that she says she was offered same repetitive films, though they were female-centric driven films, there were all ‘lies’ She said, “I was telling my manager that I wanted to quit the industry because the synopsis I was receiving from filmmakers all felt like a lie. Yes, they were heroine-centric… but the concepts were simple. Like a rape victim, her struggling against the odds and gaining revenge, or a wife who supports her husband endlessly, or a sacrificial mother. I had no interest to be a part of these lies”.
