Starring Hrithik Shaurya and senior actress Varalakshmi Sarathakumar in the lead roles, the upcoming investigative crime thriller ‘Ashwathama’ — ‘Hathah Akshara’ is the tagline, will arrive in theatres soon. The film is directed by Chandrashekhar Azad Patibandla and produced by Ramakrishna Uppalapati under Flicknine Studio banner.
Marking the birthday of actor Hrithik, the makers dropped the first look poster. Hrithik started his film career with the film ‘Vote’. He appeared as a soft boy-next-door character in it. He believes that his next film ‘Ashwathama’ will give a proper break as a commercial hero.
Speaking on this occasion, director Chandra Shekhar said, “This is a love and crime thriller set in a rural backdrop. It is being made with pure commercial elements. Varalakshmi Sarathakumar’s role is quite unique from all her previous outings. A surprising character will be seen in a role with a negative shade. It will be a good film for the hero. He will be elevated as a commercial hero. The makers are fascinated by his action episodes. In the two schedules that have been held so far, we have shot key sequences.”
Other actors include Srinu,Temper Vamsi, Manik Reddy, Sathyakrishna, Shaking Seshu, Yogi Katri, Patas Praveen among others in crucial roles. Cinematographer is being handled by Shyam K Naidu while music is being composed by Prajwal Kumar
