Time was when Chiru, Balayya, Nag and Venky ruled the roost in Tollywood for over two decades. But, for the last 10 to 15 years, their careers have plateaued and their films have not been getting the kind of hype they used to get once. Venky was the worst hit among the quarted. Though his films like Drusyam and Guru did well, the collections were lukewarm and they did not help him in his career in any which way. Of late, he could not get the right kind of comedy films that brought the best out of him. But, F2 has changed all that. The film has brought the vintage Venky out of the closet.
He brought back the spark and spunk of films like Kalisundam Raa, Nuvvu Naku Nacchav and Malleswari. His comic timing was perfect and he did a wonderful job as a man tormented by his wife. In some scenes, he excelled and gave us ROFL moments. No wonder, Venky fans are very happy and they are showing their happiness both inside the theatres and in the social media.
