Yet again, it has been proven how shallow and self-centred are Tollywood celebrities when it comes to giving importance to seniors in the industry. Music legend Ilayaraja was in the city the other day. And music lovers across had a great time reminiscing the iconic songs of Ilayaraja at the sprawling stadium at Gachibowli.
The live-in concert witnessed Natural Star Nani, director Harish Shankar, and Manchu Lakshmi among a few Telugu celebs. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s voice welcoming Ilayaraja was like a cherry on the cake. But apart from a few actors, no big stars were present at the event.
Apart from a couple of heroes getting busy in shooting, most of the top celebrities are in the city and they could have turned up to the event as a gesture of respect to Ilayaraja. Social media users took to Twitter to comment why Telugu celebs are too preoccupied to give the concert a miss.
Yesteryear actors in Telugu were actually setting their careers going because of Ilayaraja’s magic. Even top film directors have missed attending.
