Palasa actor’s next, a film on Coronavirus

Actor Rakshit, who earned fame with his credible portrayal as the protagonist in the gripping actioner Palasa 1978 is gearing up for his next. Interestingly, the film has been titled WHO, whose abbreviation in the context of its story is to be read as ‘World Hazard Ordinance’. The scientific thriller, as you may have guessed by now, will uncover the conspiracy behind Coronavirus across the world. Sudhas Media is presenting the film that’ll be reportedly produced by a leading production house.

Actor Rakshit Palasa

The lead actor’s first look in the film commemorating his birthday elicited a good response from the crowds, say the makers. Dev Pinnamaraju who attained global recognition with his short films including the recently helmed ‘I’m gonna tell God everything’ will make his directorial debut with WHO. Despite the precarious situation across the world, the producers are hoping to shoot the film in the US, Italy, South Africa and in select locations around the India-China border.

This is only the second film announcement of a story revolving around Coronavirus, the first one being Ramgopal Varma’s Coronavirus, whose trailer recently opened to mixed responses. How successful will these attempts be, when the human race is yet to understand the larger picture beneath the pandemic? The only thing in the minds of the producer is to probably cash in on the trend. Let’s see where it leads them to.
