RX 100 catapulted Payal Rajput to overnight stardom. Fro being a fresh face to achieving overnight stardom, it’s a dream come true for any actor. However, it wasn’t a cakewalk for Payal who had her own share of downs. Speaking at the pre-release event of RDX Love, Payal opened up about the 6-long years of struggle.
When Payal Rajput was rejected by South directors
Recounting her struggle, she said, “There’s no denying that RX 100 changed my life completely. And although people say that I became an overnight star, I struggled for nearly six years in Mumbai. Many South directors came to Mumbai for auditions but I was rejected by all of them. I was shattered and even went into a depression,” reveals Payal, who adds, “But destiny has its own way and today, I am in the top 10 South Indian actresses. It feels really good and I am proud of myself.”
Speaking about her next film RDX Love and the problems they encountered during the shoot, she said, We shot for 45 days near Papikondalu and Polavaram in Andhra Pradesh where there was no network, no food, no hotels, but still, I have no regrets as I enjoyed myself thoroughly.” Thanking the director Shankar Bhanu, she said, “These kinds of scripts are rare and I am lucky that I am part of this movie”.
