Telugu Digital Idol is an online singing competition aimed to tap singing talent and offer them a great platform to showcase their mettle. The website for the first-ever virtual singing competition for Telugu singing talent was launched recently. Renowned Film music director Anup Rubens had launched the website and kickstarted the registrations. This competition is mentored by musician Vyzarsu Balasubrahmanyam for classical music and Ramachari Komanduri for light music.
The platform for this competition is online and the participants need to register themselves on www.telugudigitalidol.com. The age limit is set at 16 years and a confirmation mail will be intimated to all participants who are selected for the next round. There will be no registration fee for the competition. Senior playback singers from the Telugu film industry will judge the participants.
The finale of the competition will be live-streamed and a renowned film music director (Telugu) will select the title winner and first, second runner ups. Anup Rubens, at the website launch, said, “If impressed, top contestants will be given an opportunity in my forthcoming films”.
