South actress to play lead role in Baby Hindi remake
The Telugu film Baby directed by Sai Rajesh and produced by SKN became a massive success winning five awards at the Filmfare South 2024 Awards from eight nominations. Given the film’s immense popularity, there have been plans to remake it in Bollywood.
Recent reports suggest that Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irrfan Khan, has been cast for the lead role. In the original Baby, this role was played by Anand Deverakonda. Babil Khan’s involvement marks a significant step, as earlier there were rumors that other star kids like Ishaan Kattar, Aryaman Deol (son of Bobby Deol) and Agasthya Nanda were in talks for the role. However, it seems that Babil Khan has now been confirmed for the part.

While the actress for the Hindi remake has not been finalized, Khushi Kapoor’s name was initially mentioned as a potential choice. However there are now discussions around Krithi Shetty known for her role in Uppena. In the original film Vaishnavi Chaitanya played the female lead receiving a lot of praise for her performance.
The remake will be directed by Sai Rajesh, who also helmed the original and produced by SKN staying consistent with the core team behind the original movie. Fans of the Telugu hit are excited to see how the remake will unfold in Bollywood.
