Doing business in the movie industry is not so easy. If you’re a low-budget not-so-known face in the entertainment industry, you’re gone for a toss.
The plight of Vishwak Sen, who donned the three hats of a director, a producer and the lead hero of the recently released movie ‘Das Ka Dhamki’, looks the same.
Currently, the non-theatrical business is not easy for some young heroes in Telugu cinema. There are various reasons for this. But recently, ‘Das Ka Dhamki’ couldn’t do the non-theatrical business as expected before the film was released. Vishwak imagined that he would get a huge rate for his film. However, as he doesn’t have much craze in the market, he had to accept a low price in terms of closing non-theatrical business.
He sold the film to an Aha within a week of its release. It is also learnt that he closed the deal for the satellite rights too. Vishwak forged a deal with Aha, and with Zee Corporation to sell satellite rights. Vishwak must have bagged some Rs 5 crore to six with this business.
