The movie’s first announcement took place on July 3, 2024, during a muhurtham pooja event in Hyderabad, attended by renowned industry figures like K. Raghavendra Rao, Harish Shankar and Venkata Satish Kilaru.
The film hit theaters on February 14, 2025, aligning with Valentine’s Day. According to Indian box office reports, Laila earned approximately ₹2.01 crore in net collections across India in its first two days.

Laila follows the journey of Sonu Model, a barber from the old city who aspires to become a model. Circumstances force him to take on a different identity as Laila, leading to a series of comedic and action-packed events. Vishwak Sen plays the dual role of Sonu Model and Laila, while Akanksha Sharma appears as Jenny. The film also features Vennela Kishore, Ravi Mariya, Nagineedu, Harsha Vardhan, Brahmaji, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Raghu Babu, Abhimanyu Singh, and Vineet Kumar.
The film’s cinematography is handled by Richard Prasad, with music composed by Leon James. The screenplay is written by Vasudeva Murthy, and Sagar Dadi manages the editing. Marketing is managed by First Show, with Junglee Music acquiring the audio rights.
