Right from the time since viewers got to know about its unique name, Bebaakee has been the talk of the town. With fans getting to know more about this gripping love story through the show’s teaser, trailer, songs, and posters, excitement ahead of the show’s release is at its peak.
All those weeks of waiting are finally done as ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Club have finally launched the most-awaited romantic drama. On the back of some stellar cinematography, soul-stirring music, and gripping storyline, Bebaakee is a show capturing the unbreakable bonds of love, friendship, brotherhood, and even hate. Through the characters and the family, we discover that the strongest bonds can be the most fragile, and the people closest to you can cause you the most damage.
Bebaakee is the story of Sufiyaan Abdullah and Kainaat Sahani, two diametrically different yet equally strong and stubborn personalities. Set in the picturesque locales of Shimla, it revolves around the life of these two contrasting characters, played by Kushal Tandon and Shivjyoti Rajput, with strong personalities who bond over their mutual love for journalism.
Despite destiny bringing the two together in this tale of love, they are unable to understand whether their passion is accompanied by love or hate. While things seem to be pretty plain sailing for the two, life takes an unexpected turn once Sufiyaan’s friend Imtiaz (Karan Jotwani) enters their life-changing relationship dynamic between the three for the worse. In addition to this terrific trio, the series also has an ensemble cast of Pratik Sehajpal, Ishaan Dhawan, Mahir Pandhi, Saloni Vora, Aditi Vats, and Juhaina Ahsan as well as senior actors like Krutika Desai, Suchitra Pillai, Ananya Khare, Mohit Chauhan, Sameer Malhotra, and Indraneel Bhattacharya.
With romance in abundance on the show, Bebaakee also showcases soul-stirring songs that are sung and composed by some of the renowned musicians in the industry. The popular song ‘Galliyaan’, sung by Akhil Sachdeva and Asees Kaur and ‘Intehaan’ crooned by Gaurav Guleria and the lovely soundtrack Rabba Khair Kari, sung by Richa Sharma and Digvijay Singh Pariyar will make you wish the best for your beloved.
Speaking about the show’s launch, Kushal Tandon said, “I have always thanked Ekta Ma’am for believing in me and pushing me to do my very best. I remember agreeing to play Sufiyaan’s character just over the call the two of us had as she pitched me the role. With me and Sufiyaan sharing a lot of similarities, it was extremely easy to get into the skin of the character and play it to perfection. The viewer’s reaction to the show and my character has been amazing. It’s finally time to give them what they’ve been waiting for, for a very long time. I hope that they love what we’ve made for them.”
Talking about the show, Shiv Jyoti Rajput commented, “Looking at the exponential growth of the Indian OTT space over the last few years, I grabbed the opportunity to mark my debut with the two leading homegrown OTT heavyweights.
