The upcoming ‘Cinema Lovers Day’ on February 23, 2024, promises exciting movie options at PVR INOX cinemas, where enthusiasts can catch their favorite releases for just Rs 99. This special offer extends to a variety of films, including All India Rank, Article 370, Crackk, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Fighter, and Hollywood hits like Madame Web, The Holdovers, Bob Marley-One Love, Mean Girls, and The Teachers Lounge.

While PVR INOX aims to provide an inclusive experience with attractive prices for mainstream and premium formats, their recent move has sparked controversy. The Rs 99 offer, however, excludes Telugu states, leading to dissatisfaction among audiences in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Social media has become a platform for expressing discontent, with many calling for a boycott of PVR Inox.

This isn’t the first time such concerns have arisen. In the past, PVR Inox introduced a movie pass priced at Rs 699, allowing viewers to watch 10 films per month on weekdays. Unfortunately, this offer was not extended to South Indian states, contributing to a perceived disparity between North and South Indian cinema audiences.

The exclusionary practices have intensified the call for a boycott, with netizens from Telugu states expressing their frustration. PVR Inox’s recent initiatives have not only ignited controversy but have also brought attention to the need for a more inclusive approach in catering to diverse audiences across India.
