Tollywood star hero joins Suriya46? Here’s what we know
South Indian cinema fans are excited as news spreads about a possible collaboration between two popular actors Suriya and Vijay Deverakonda. Suriya, who recently starred in Retro is now focusing on his 46th film, Suriya46 which will be directed by Venky Atluri.
During the promotional event for Retro, Suriya officially announced the new project and shared his enthusiasm for working with Atluri. The film is being produced by Sithara Entertainments. In a video, Suriya said he was grateful for starting this new journey with blessings from veteran producer Allu Arvind. He also mentioned that the film’s shooting would begin in May and that most of the filming would happen in Hyderabad.
Rumors started flying when Vijay Deverakonda was spotted at the Retro pre-release event. Reports from Sun News suggest that he might play a key role in Suriya46. Although there’s no official confirmation from either actor or the production team, fans are eagerly waiting to see the two stars together on screen.

Apart from Suriya46, the actor is also working on Suriya45, where he is teaming up with RJ Balaji. The film will reunite Suriya with actress Trisha Krishnan after nearly 20 years. The pair will reportedly play lawyers, and the cast also features actors like Swaswika, Yogi Babu, Shhivada, and Natty. Newcomers Anagha Maaya Ravi and Supreeth Reddy will also be seen in supporting roles.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda is busy with his own projects. His film Kingdom is set to release on July 4, 2025.
If the rumors are true, the pairing of Suriya and Vijay Deverakonda in Suriya46 will surely be one of the biggest highlights in South Indian cinema this year. Fans are eagerly waiting for an official announcement.
