Chat Gpt can now hear and see what you share on WhatsApp

OpenAI has enhanced its AI chatbot, ChatGPT on WhatsApp by adding support for image and voice message inputs. Previously, users could only interact with the chatbot through text messages. This upgrade allows WhatsApp users worldwide to engage with ChatGPT using different types of media.

Until now, ChatGPT on WhatsApp only responded to text-based queries. With the new update users can now send images and voice messages. The AI will analyze image inputs and provide relevant responses using its computer vision capabilities. Similarly, voice messages will enable users to communicate with ChatGPT without typing long texts.

With these upgrades, users can now ask ChatGPT to describe an image, analyze content or even provide feedback on their work. Voice message support makes interactions more convenient especially for those who prefer speaking over typing. This feature enhances accessibility and efficiency for users who rely on ChatGPT for quick assistance.

OpenAI is also working on a feature that allows users to sign in to their existing ChatGPT account while using WhatsApp. This means conversations on WhatsApp can be synchronized with the ChatGPT app or web client ensuring a seamless experience across different platforms.

OpenAI introduced an official ChatGPT phone number in December 2024, allowing users to chat with the AI via WhatsApp. Initially, this service was available in the US and Canada, where users could call and interact with the chatbot. With these new updates, OpenAI is expanding ChatGPT’s capabilities, making it more versatile for global users.

While image generation and advanced voice interaction are not yet available, reports suggest OpenAI is working on further improvements. These updates are expected to enhance how people interact with AI on messaging platforms.
