మంచు విష్ణు భారీ రిస్క్ తీసుకున్నాడు. ‘కన్నప్ప’ సినిమాతో అతను తన కెరీర్‌లోనే అతిపెద్ద ప్రయత్నం చేశాడు. ఎన్నో సంవత్సరాలుగా స్క్రిప్ట్ మీద రీసెర్చ్ చేశారు. తండ్రి మోహన్ బాబు డ్రీమ్ ప్రాజెక్ట్ అయిన ఈ సినిమాకి భారీ బడ్జెట్ ఖర్చు పెట్టారు. కానీ మంచు విష్ణుకు గత సినిమాల ట్రాక్ రికార్డ్ బలహీనంగా ఉండడంతో, థియేట్రికల్, నాన్ థియేట్రికల్ హక్కులకు ఏ డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్లు పెద్దగా రేట్లు ఆఫర్ చేయలేదు. కానీ విష్ణు మాత్రం ఈ సినిమా హక్కులన్నీ అమ్మకుండా పూర్తిగా రిస్క్ తీసుకోవాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాడు.

ఈ సినిమాలో ప్రభాస్, అక్షయ్ కుమార్, మోహన్‌లాల్, శరత్‌కుమార్ వంటి స్టార్ యాక్టర్స్ కీలక పాత్రల్లో కనిపించనున్నారు. ముఖ్యంగా ప్రభాస్ పాత్ర సినిమాకే హైలైట్ అనే టాక్. రెండో అర్ధభాగంలో ఆయన ఎంట్రీ వస్తుంది. మొత్తం 35 నిమిషాల పాటు ప్రభాస్ కనిపించనున్నారు. ఆయన స్థాయి, పాన్ ఇండియా క్రేజ్ సినిమాకి ఓపెనింగ్స్ తేనని విష్ణు నమ్ముతున్నాడు.

ఇంత కీలక పాత్ర చేసినా కూడా ప్రభాస్ ప్రమోషన్లకు రావడం లేదు. మోహన్ బాబుకి మంచి సంబంధం ఉన్నప్పటికీ, ప్రమోషన్లలో ఉండటం సినిమాకి మరో బలంగా మారేది. అయినా కూడా, విష్ణు తీసుకున్న ధైర్యం నిజంగా మెచ్చుకోదగ్గది.
ఇప్పుడు ప్రొడ్యూసర్స్ డీల్స్‌పై కాంప్రమైజ్ అవుతూ, బిజినెస్ సెటిల్ చేసుకుని సినిమాలు రిలీజ్ చేస్తున్న రోజుల్లో, విష్ణు మాత్రం ఆ స్టెప్ తీసుకోకుండా పూర్తిగా రిస్క్‌పై వెళ్తున్నాడు.

ఈ శుక్రవారం ‘కన్నప్ప’ రిలీజ్ అవుతోంది. మంచి టాక్ వస్తే, విష్ణు తన హార్డ్‌వర్క్‌తో మంచి విజయాన్ని అందుకోవచ్చు. ఇక మిగతాదంతా ప్రేక్షకుల తీర్పుపైనే ఆధారపడింది.

Kannappa First Review Out: 

The much-awaited Telugu mythological film Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu, received its first review from none other than Superstar Rajinikanth. He watched the movie during a private screening on June 15, 2025—just ahead of the film’s official release on June 27.

The screening was extra special, as it also marked the 30th anniversary of Pedarayudu (1995), a film starring both Mohan Babu and Rajinikanth. On this occasion, Mohan Babu shared his joy on social media and said, “The love, warmth, and encouragement he gave after the film is something I will never forget.”

Mohan Babu added that Rajinikanth came with his family and showed great support for the entire Kannappa team. He wrote, “On June 15, Pedarayudu completed 30 glorious years since its theatrical release. And on the same day, my best friend @rajinikanth watched Kannappa along with his family.”

Lead actor Vishnu Manchu shared an emotional post, revealing that Rajinikanth hugged him after the screening. Vishnu said, “I waited 22 years for this hug from Rajinikanth sir. It was a humbling and unforgettable moment.”

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa tells the story of a tribal hunter who becomes a true devotee of Lord Shiva and even offers his eyes to the deity. The film features Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam, and special appearances by Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal. The movie is produced by AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, with music by Stephen Devassy.

Advance bookings open on June 25, and the film is already generating strong buzz thanks to Rajinikanth’s early praise.

బాలీవుడ్ సూపర్‌స్టార్ ఆమిర్ ఖాన్ నటించిన తాజా చిత్రం ‘సితారే జమీన్ పర’ మంచి స్పందనను సొంతం చేసుకుంటోంది. ప్రేరణ కలిగించే డ్రామాగా వచ్చిన ఈ సినిమా మొదటి రెండు రోజుల్లోనే రూ. 20 కోట్ల వసూళ్లు రాబట్టి, ఆదివారం ఇంకో మంచి కలెక్షన్స్ దిశగా దూసుకుపోతోంది. కథ, ఆమిర్ నటనకు విమర్శకులు కూడా పాజిటివ్‌గానే స్పందిస్తున్నారు.

పాన్ ఇండియా స్టార్ ప్రభాస్ తాజా చిత్రం ది రాజా సాబ్ డిసెంబర్ 5, 2025న గ్రాండ్‌గా విడుదలకు సిద్ధమవుతోంది. మారుతి దర్శకత్వంలో తెరకెక్కుతున్న ఈ హారర్-కామెడీ ఎంటర్టైనర్‌పై ఇప్పటికే భారీ అంచనాలు ఏర్పడ్డాయి. ఇటీవల విడుదలైన టీజర్‌కి సోషల్ మీడియాలో అద్భుత స్పందన లభిస్తోంది.

ఈ సందర్భంగా నిర్మాత టి.జి. విశ్వ ప్రసాద్ తాజాగా ఇచ్చిన ఇంటర్వ్యూలో సినిమా క్లైమాక్స్‌పై కొన్ని ఆసక్తికర విషయాలు బయటపెట్టారు. ఆయన చెప్పిన ప్రకారం –

తర్వాత VFX గురించి వివరించారు –
“ఈ క్లైమాక్స్ విజువల్స్‌కి VFX చాలా కీలకం. అందుకే 300 రోజుల పాటు గ్రాఫిక్స్ వర్క్ జరిగింది. ఇదంతా క్వాలిటీకి చేసిన జాగ్రత్త. అందుకే సినిమా ఆలస్యమైంది. అందరికీ నిరాశ కలిగిందని తెలుసు. కానీ మంచి కంటెంట్ ఇవ్వడమే మా లక్ష్యం,” అని పేర్కొన్నారు.

ఈ విషయాలతో సినిమా పైన అంచనాలు మరింత పెరిగిపోయాయి. ఒకవైపు ప్రభాస్ స్టామినా, మరోవైపు క్లైమాక్స్‌లో ఉండబోయే విజువల్ ఎఫెక్ట్స్… అన్నీ కలిస్తే థియేటర్లలో విజువల్ ట్రీట్ ఖాయం అంటున్నారు అభిమానులు.

These movies didn’t rely on massive sets or loud action but focused on human emotions and relatable characters — and they worked.

On the other hand, when Tamil directors have teamed up with Telugu stars, the result has often been disappointing. Big films like Spyder, The Warriorr, and Custody failed to connect with audiences. Even Game Changer, starring Ram Charan, has faced endless delays and criticism. This contrast makes us wonder — is the director always at fault?

Many believe the core problem lies with Telugu heroes themselves. Today’s leading actors in Telugu cinema are rarely willing to step out of their comfort zone. Unlike Dhanush, who confidently played a beggar in Kuberaa, Telugu stars seem to prefer playing safe roles with style and action over depth and realism.

Actors like Dhanush and Dulquer Salmaan are praised not because they are from Tamil or Malayalam cinema, but because they take risks. They choose scripts that challenge them and characters that are not always glamorous. Their performances are real and impactful.

Pan-India star Prabhas is part of the much-awaited mythological film Kannappa, led by Manchu Vishnu. The movie is made on a grand scale and features several major stars in special roles.
