Subham box-office collection day 3
Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s latest film Subham is slowly gaining momentum at the box office. Produced on a low budget, the film had a slow start but is now showing signs of improvement especially by the third day of its release.
On day one and two, Subham collected less than ₹1 crore which was disappointing given the strong word-of-mouth buzz. However, Samantha who also produced the film, took charge of promotions and ensured that the film reached a wider audience. Her aggressive marketing efforts appear to be paying off.

By day three, Subham earned ₹1.2 crore, bringing the total to ₹2.5 crore. A promotional event planned in Hyderabad is expected to give the film an additional boost. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, known for Cinema Bandi, the film features all-newcomers in lead roles. Samantha also makes a brief appearance, which was well received by fans.
Set in a small town near Vizag, the film revolves around a unique storyline where women get possessed while watching a particular TV show. With a mix of humor and a strong social message about how women are treated, Subham is resonating with viewers.
The film faced tough competition from #Single, starring Sree Vishnu of Samajavaragamana fame. Despite this, Subham managed to increase its theatre occupancy as positive reviews started flowing in. Actor Rag Mayur known for Veeranjaneyulu Vihara Yatra plays a fun supporting role in the film.
Made on a budget of less than ₹5 crore, Subham has already turned profitable thanks to a lucrative OTT deal. Zee5 acquired the streaming rights and is expected to premiere the film online on the same day as its theatre release. This simultaneous release model, already used by Zee5
