What makes Nagarjuna’s 100th film so special?

Nagarjuna Akkineni, one of the most respected actors in Telugu cinema, is getting ready for a major milestone his 100th film. Known for encouraging fresh talent in the industry, Nagarjuna is once again giving a chance to a new director for this landmark project.

According to recent film industry reports, Nagarjuna’s 100th movie will be directed by Ra. Karthik, a filmmaker who earlier made the Tamil film Nitham Oru Vaanam. The Telugu version of the film was titled Aakasham, and although it didn’t perform well at the box office in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Nagarjuna was reportedly impressed by Karthik’s storytelling style.

The upcoming movie is said to revolve around a mafia-based plot. Unlike Karthik’s earlier film, which was a feel-good drama, this one will be a commercial entertainer aimed at mass audiences. Fans of the Akkineni family are excited to see their star in a power packed role again.

Initially, director Mohan Raja, who is well-known for the film Godfather, was expected to direct this special movie. There were even talks about a father-son story featuring both Nagarjuna and his son Akhil. However, that plan seems to have been put aside for now.

After the success of Naa Saami Ranga, Nagarjuna has not taken on a solo lead role. His upcoming projects like Kubera and Coolie have him in important roles, but not as the main lead. So, his 100th movie will likely be a return to form with Nagarjuna in the spotlight.

The script work is currently progressing, especially the second half, and a formal announcement is expected soon. Fans and industry insiders are eagerly waiting to know more about this exciting project.
