TN Government to support Master release

Thalapathy Vijay’s new movie Master release has fallen into a dilemma. Some say that the film will hit the screens, while some say that it will have a release on Netflix. As of now, there is no clarity on when the movie actually releases. The film’s final copy is ready, and the producers are planning to bring it to theatres for Sankranthi. But with 50 percent occupancy, the film unit will end up tasting losses. But, the Tamilnadu government is extending all their support for the film’s release.

masterRecently, Tamilnadu’s Information and Publicity Minister Kadambur Raju has confirmed that the makers of Master are planning to release the film on January 13, 2021. The industry spokespersons have requested the Minister to increase the maximum occupancy level in TN theaters from 50% to 75%. The government is considering that. Most likely, the government will increase the occupancy level in the theatres in January.With elections around the corner, the Tamilnadu government will consider the requests of the Tamil film industry.
