CSI Sanatan Movie Review

Plot

A famous money lender named Vikram Chakravarthi gets killed in very weird circumstances. The cops have no clue and to solve the case, a very young CSI agent, Sanatan(Aadi Saikumar) is brought on board. How he solves the case and what issues he faces in his investigation is the story of CSI Sanatan.

Performances

Aadi Sai Kumar is turning out to be a solid actor these days. He has taken a sudden leap and is doing so well with each film of his. Here in CSI Sanatan, he plays a stylish cop, and the serious attitude and maturity that he showcases in his character are superb. If not for him, the film would have looked quite dull. Bigg Boss fame Ali Reza gets a very good role and he impresses. Nandini Rai was also okay in her act.

Analysis

CSI Sanatan is a crime thriller that is based on the investigation of a murder mystery. A routine story has been given a new light and narrated in a manner that looks new. But the output is the same. Barring a few thrills, there are so many scenes that are added to create more essence in the narration but they fall flat in no time and make the film go haywire.

The special thriller which is needed for a crime thriller is missing. The narration is not that gripping as the investigation happens on an easy note and the cops crack the case in an easy manner. More twists and turns would have made this film a lot better. But in all this, it is Aadi Sai Kumar’s performance that makes us stick to the screen.

Yet another drawback of the film is the predictable factor in the investigation scenes. Though they are good, we can easily understand what the other twists are going to be. But still, the director makes sure that he engages the audience with decent sequences about who the murderer is. There are so many scenes that elevate the investigation by Aadi Sai Kumar.

The camerawork, production values, and dialogues are apt. But the manner in which the director has lighted the film with a unique mood is nice. The film has a good setup and neat thrills. If you allow the predictability factor to go away from your mind, this film has some neat drama that can be given a shot this week as there are no other big releases.

Bottom Line- Routine but can be given a shot

CSI Sanatan Movie Rating: 2.75/5
