Ram Gopal Varma’s take on NTR’s life, ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ deals with the chain of events that took place when Lakshmi Parvathy enter the life of NTR, the events that changed the fate of Andhra Pradesh politics. The film was released on 29th of March, 2019 worldwide, except for Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh’s release was put on hold in Andhra Pradesh, due to elections and the Supreme court dismissed the petition filed by the team for the release. Now, that the elections are done, the court has ordered Election Commission to take the call about the release of the film. The film’s release date was ambiguous from the beginning, but even after the elections, it is persistent and it has put up worries to the distributors of the film. While the team are trying to bring clarity to this, TDP’s attorney and President have filed a petition to block the release of the film, in two different courts.
