When a close associate of actress Sanjjanaa was called in for interrogation in the Kannada industry drug scandal, her name quickly became a hot topic of discussion. The actress, though, claimed to be unaware about anything beyond routine socialising that happens in industry circles.
She sent a note that read, “I have seen people drinking alcohol and partying at get-togethers, socialising in clubs for, attending birthday party functions, etc., but beyond that when I have nothing to do with it or have no such “drugs” experience, it’s very irritating to get forced in media to talk about something you don’t know. I’m very saddened that our Kannada industry name is dragged into this and defamed, which is a temple for me and I am who I am because of the Kannada industry is getting defamed because of such topics (sic).”
