“The Chief Minister is right on the Sabarimala issue. I don’t understand why there is so much ruckus about it. Women have to bear certain pain every month. We all know why it happens it is a holy thing thanks to which we are here… if there’s no menstruation, there won’t be any men. Hence women are equivalent to Gods,” said Vijay Sethupathi.

However, this didn’t go down with certain sections who threatened to boycott the actor’s film. While a user went on to state that Vijay lost a fan here after. “Now, you lost a very big fan sir. I really admired you for your straightforwardness and honesty. This is a shocker from you. Either, you are totally ignorant of the issue on the both sides or you are eyeing for some easy publicity,” wrote a user. It is to be seen how Vijay would recat to the onging issue.
