Pushpaka Vimanam Review

Pushpaka Vimanam is Anand Devarakonda’s latest presentation and is produced by Vijay Devarakonda. Read our review to know if the film has any juice in it or not.

Plot

The film is about a small-time school teacher played by Anand Devarakonda. He is newly married but his life changes upside down when his wife(Geeth Saini) elopes giving him a big shock. Upon this, Anand Devarakonda is booked in the case of his missing wife by Rangam(Sunil). How will he solve all these issues and come out innocent is the story.

Performances

Anand Devarakonda is choosing simple roles and he as Chittilanka Sundar is good. Anand takes time to grow on us but after a while, he is impressive in his lead role. His voice and subtle emotions work well for the film. Geeth Saini is neat and has done the best part as the wife who elopes.

Saanve Megghana is very good and plays her comic role confidently. Sunil hams to no extent and his overaction irritates you in the film. Naresh and others have done an okay job. Harshvardhan also overacts in his role.

Analysis

The trailers have generated a lot of curiosity through the fun showcased. The same happens in the first half as the situational comedy related to Anand’s marriage issues evokes good fun. A scene where Anand handles all his school colleagues has been elevated so well.

There is a thrill factor in the film and everyone wants to know where and why the wife’s character goes missing. Though clarity is given about her in no time, the novelty factor is missing here.

Songs are very good and they are nicely added in each situation and show director Damodara’s talent. The film has good laughs in the first half but the second half is ridiculed with forced scenes and emotions.

This is where one would get bored and the expected fun is not generated. For Anand, it is a good outing but as a film, Pushpaka Vimanam has its own limitations.

Botton Line – So-So comedy
