Subham OTT:
Subham, a Telugu horror-comedy film, hit theatres on May 9, 2025, and is already gaining attention for its unique story and fresh presentation. The movie is especially notable as it marks the first production venture of actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu under her banner, Tralala Moving Pictures.
Directed by Praveen Kandregula and written by Vasanth Maringanti, Subham is set in the early 2000s in Bheemili, a small coastal town in Andhra Pradesh. The story follows a local cable TV operator who marries an MBA graduate. Their peaceful life takes a strange turn when his wife starts acting unusually at exactly 9 PM every night. As more women in the village begin showing the same symptoms, the mystery deepens. The man begins to investigate and uncovers a disturbing pattern behind the strange happenings.
The cast includes Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, Shriya Kontham, and others. The technical team also shines, with cinematography by Mridul Sujit Sen, editing by Dharmendra Kakarala, music by Shor Police, and background score by Vivek Sagar. The production design is handled by Ramcharan Tej Labani, and the VFX team is led by Nikhil Koduru.
Though Subham is still running in theatres, reports suggest that its digital rights have been secured by Netflix. While the exact OTT release date is yet to be confirmed, sources expect the movie to begin streaming by mid-June 2025.
