Thudarum box office collection:
The Malayalam movie Thudarum starring superstar Mohanlal is performing well at the box office. The film had a solid start earning Rs. 5.25 crore on its first day. Over the first weekend, the collections rose significantly reaching Rs. 19 crore. Fans and industry experts were hopeful that the momentum would continue into the second week as well.
As per early estimates, Thudarum collected Rs. 1.17 crore on its 8th day. This brings the film’s total Indian box office collection to Rs. 52.57 crore. This shows the movie’s steady performance even during weekdays.
When compared to another big Malayalam release, L2: Empuraan which collected around Rs. 3.9 crore on Day 8, Thudarum is slightly behind. However, it is still maintaining a good average of Rs. 5 to 8 crore per day which is impressive for a Malayalam film.
The movie’s worldwide gross has reached Rs. 119.75 crore including around Rs. 60 crore from international markets. This makes Thudarum one of the highest grossing Malayalam films in recent times and Mohanlal’s fourth film to cross the Rs. 50 crore mark in India.
In terms of digital release, the OTT rights for Thudarum have been sold to JioHotstar. Typically, films arrive on streaming platforms 4 to 8 weeks after their theatrical release. However official OTT release date has not yet been announced.
