Thug Life Pre-Bookings Lower Than Indian 2
Kamal Haasan’s new movie Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, is set to release worldwide on June 5th. The film stars Kamal Haasan along with Silambarasan TR and Trisha in the lead roles. The excitement around the movie was visible as pre-booking tickets started recently in many major cities of Tamil Nadu. However, big cinema chains like PVR and Inox have not yet opened their booking windows.
Despite Thug Life trending on the Book My Show platform with about 3,500 tickets booked every hour, the overall number of tickets booked so far is not very high. Industry experts note that even though there was a lot of hype before the release, the pre-booking numbers in key locations such as Chennai appear to be lower than expected. Comparatively, the pre-bookings for Kamal Haasan’s previous movie Indian 2 were better at the same stage.

With two days left before the release, it is expected that popular multiplex chains like PVR and Inox will soon start accepting bookings. This could increase the number of tickets sold in Tamil Nadu and other regions.
