In the film industry, it is common for directors to write stories keeping specific heroes in mind. However, not all heroes accept the stories offered to them. Sometimes, they reject good stories for various reasons. One such interesting incident happened with Pawan Kalyan.

Director Puri Jagannadh had a story ready for Pawan Kalyan. But due to some reasons, Pawan rejected it. That same story later changed the life of a young actor, Ravi Teja. The film was Idiot, and it went on to create industry records.

At the time of its release, Idiot did not have much buzz. Ravi Teja was not a big star then. He had acted in a few films like Sindhooram and Itlu Sravani Subramanyam, but he was still considered a small hero. However, Idiot changed everything for him.

Ravi Teja’s performance in the film impressed everyone. His dialogue delivery, energetic acting, and natural style made him an instant favorite among youth. Famous lines like “Chantigadu local” and “Commissioner daughters’ boyfriends beware” became very popular. The film’s success made Ravi Teja a star hero overnight.

Director Puri Jagannadh’s taking and making style played a huge role in the film’s success. The screenplay, the way characters were designed, and the punch dialogues created a huge impact. Audiences loved the film so much that even today, after nearly 23 years, Idiot is often telecast on TV and people still enjoy watching it.

The music by Chakri added even more magic to the film. Songs like Choopultho Gucchi Gucchi Champake are remembered even today. The fights, comedy scenes, and emotional moments were all presented perfectly, making Idiot a complete entertainer.
