The much-awaited movie ‘Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire’ hit theatres on December 22 and has received a fantastic response from fans. Starring Prabhas and Shruti Haasan, the movie has already earned over Rs 175 crore globally, marking a significant success.

Industry experts tracked that before its release, the film generated Rs 49 crore from advance sales in the domestic market. On its release day, it’s estimated to have added another Rs 60 crore in earnings. Notably, ‘Salaar’ features Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, speculations are rife that Shruti Haasan wasn’t the initial choice for ‘Salaar.’ There’s speculation that Bollywood’s Alia Bhatt was approached by Prashanth Neel for the role initially meant for Shruti Haasan in ‘Salaar.’ However, the reasons behind why Alia Bhatt rejected such a blockbuster film remain unknown. Additionally, until the movie’s release, many believed that Shruti Haasan didn’t have any significant character in the movie. However, despite having a limited role, Shruti Haasan delivered a substantial performance that drove the storyline in ‘Salaar.’

Directed by Prashanth Neel, known for ‘KGF,’ ‘Salaar’ is an action-packed drama that stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. The movie has been released globally in multiple languages, marking a wide-reaching cinematic experience.

This movie is planned to be released in two parts, with the first titled ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ and the second named ‘Shouryaanga Parvam.’

In ‘Salaar,’ Prabhas plays Deva/Salaar, Prithviraj Sukumaran portrays Varadharaja Mannar, and Shruti Haasan takes on the character of Aadya.The film has been released in various languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. It’s currently in competition at the box office with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki.’
