Shruti Haasan addresses ‘which number boyfriend’ question
Shruti Haasan has always been in the spotlight, not only for her successful career in movies and music but also for her personal life. Recently, the actress spoke openly about being asked by people about her boyfriends, especially after her breakup with visual artist Santanu Hazarika.
Before Santanu, Shruti had been in a relationship with actor Michael Corsale. While she didn’t publicly confirm the relationship, her social media posts with Michael left little to the imagination. However, both relationships came to an end, and Shruti has now moved on with no regrets. She shared her thoughts in a recent interview, saying, “I have hurt some people and I wish I didn’t do that. Everything else, I have like zero regrets. I’m like, okay, I was a clown, it’s fine. Just some people that were very valuable to me, I hurt them by mistake and I always now spend my time saying sorry for it.”
Despite the end of her relationships, Shruti is not ashamed of her past. She doesn’t consider the question of “Which number boyfriend is this?” to be significant. She explained that for others, it’s just a number, but for her, it represents the times she tried and failed at love. “For you it’s a number, for me it’s the number of times I failed at having the love I want. So, I don’t feel bad about it…but I feel a little bad. Of course, I’m human.”
When asked about her past relationships, Shruti spoke about the idea of having a “dangerous ex,” something everyone can relate to. She mentioned that despite her past mistakes, she’s learned from them and has no regrets. Shruti believes that relationships help people grow, and she has always tried to be loyal in her romantic life. She said, “I’ve always been good and loyal in my equations and never felt the need to explain myself as to why I was moving on from someone.”
