Mohanlal Slapped Person for Disrespecting a Veteran Malayalam Superstar
Mohanlal is one of the most popular and respected actors in the Malayalam film industry. He is known for his calm and composed nature, but there was a time when he lost his cool and stood up for a veteran superstar.
In a previously aired interview with Kairali TV, Mohanlal opened up about a moment when he slapped a person for speaking badly about a veteran actor from the Malayalam film industry. According to Mohanlal, a person was repeatedly ridiculing and making derogatory comments about the superstar for nearly two or three hours.
Mohanlal explained, “Sometimes there comes a moment when you feel you cannot remain silent anymore. This was a reflex action — I didn’t think much about it. You can’t let someone keep insulting someone you care about or respect.”
While Mohanlal chose not to reveal the name of the superstar, many believe it was Prem Nazir — a superstar who holds a special place in the history of Malayalam cinema. Prem Nazir is often called the “evergreen hero” and is recognized for delivering numerous box office successes during his career.
The actor added that if a similar incident were to happen today, his reaction would be the same. “Some things reach a point where you cannot ignore them, and you have to take a stand, even if it means reacting physically,” Mohanlal said.
On the work front, Mohanlal was last seen in Thudarum, a thriller film directed by Tharun Moorthy. The actor is currently busy with multiple projects, including Hridayapoorvam, Vrusshabha, MMMN, and Ram. He will also make a special appearance in Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa. The superstar’s fans are looking forward to seeing him back on the big screen soon.
