Tourist Family OTT: When and where to watch
Tourist Family a Tamil comedy-drama film hit theaters on May 1 2025 and despite competing with big films like Suriya’s Retro and Nani’s HIT 3 it performed well. Now fans are eagerly awaiting its OTT release. The film will be available on JioHotstar by the end of May after completing its theatrical run.
The plot of Tourist Family revolves around Das (Sasikumar) his wife Vasanthi (Simran) and their two sons Nidhu (Mithun) and Mulli (Kamalesh) who flee an economic crisis in Sri Lanka and migrate to Rameswaram by sea. They later settle in a crowded colony in Chennai trying to stay unnoticed. However their past catches up with them complicating their lives. The family interacts with a mix of colony residents each with distinct personalities such as Richard (MS Bhaskar) a strict figure and Gunashekar (Elango Kumaravel) who is often suspicious.

The film showcases the challenges the family faces as refugees and the uncertainty of their future in a foreign land. The cast includes Sasikumar, Simran, Yogi Babu, Mithun Jai Sankar and others with Abishan Jeevinth as the writer and director. The music is composed by Sean Roldan while Aravind Viswanathan handles cinematography.
