HIT 3 review and rating: A confused thriller with weak execution
Story
HIT: The Third Case follows Arjun Sarkar, a tough and no-nonsense cop played by Nani. He is on a mission to track down a deadly gang operating on the dark web. The movie explores how Arjun justifies his violent methods to catch these criminals
Performances and Technical Aspects
Nani gives a sincere performance as Arjun Sarkar. His body language and effort to appear intense are good, but the aggressive tone sometimes feels mismatched with his physical presence. The heroine, played by Srinidhi Shetty, has a very weak and unimportant role. She appears briefly and doesn’t affect the story.
The supporting actors like Rao Ramesh and Samuthirakani also have little impact due to poor writing. The villain in the second half is exaggerated and not scary at all.
On the technical side, the music by Mickey J Meyer is disappointing. Both the songs and background score fail to impress or add to the mood. Cinematography is decent but not visually exciting. Editing feels slow, and the film drags in many parts.
Analysis
Director Sailesh Kolanu tries to mix thriller with mass action, but the blend doesn’t work. The first half builds some curiosity, but the second half is full of over-the-top action and poor writing. The movie loses its thriller identity and doesn’t succeed as an action film either. There’s no suspense or strong twist to hold the audience’s attention. The heroine’s character and songs feel forced and outdated.
Verdict
HIT: The Third Case had potential but loses its direction midway. While Nani tries his best, the weak writing and confusing tone let the film down. It’s neither a strong action film nor a thrilling mystery. Watch it only if you are a fan of Nani and keep your expectations low.
