NTR’s screen time in War 2 will surprise you

Telugu actor Jr NTR is all set to make his Bollywood debut with War 2, and the excitement is already sky-high. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is part of the popular YRF Spy Universe and stars Hrithik Roshan reprising his role as Kabir from the first War film.

What’s making headlines now is the buzz around NTR’s screen time. Reports suggest he might appear on screen for about 75 to 80 minutes. That would be even more than his 74-minute role in RRR. To accommodate such a long presence for both NTR and Hrithik, the movie might need to be nearly three hours long. This would be a shift from the usual 150–160 minutes format followed by previous YRF Spy Universe films.

Recent big hits like Animal and Pushpa: The Rule have proven that longer films can also succeed at the box office, so War 2 may follow that trend. A recently leaked clip showing Hrithik wielding a Japanese sword has added to the hype, but it’s NTR’s role that is causing a storm in the Telugu states.

Distributors and producers are showing massive interest in the Telugu rights of the film. Reports say the bidding has already crossed the ₹100 crore mark. This shows the strong fan base and high expectations surrounding NTR.

War 2 is scheduled for release on August 14, 2025, ahead of Independence Day. It will face competition from Rajinikanth’s film Coolie, making the holiday weekend even more exciting for movie fans.
