Senior Star Hero Announces His Last Movie
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is currently busy promoting his next movie Sitaare Zameen Par, a sequel to the hit film Taare Zameen Par. The movie will hit theatres on June 20, 2025. It is a sports comedy-drama that features Aamir Khan and actress Genelia Deshmukh along with ten talented young actors with special abilities.
During a podcast conversation, Aamir Khan made a surprising statement. He said that his next big film Mahabharat could be his last movie as an actor. He called it his “dream project” and said, “I believe this is a work that, once completed, might leave me feeling like there’s nothing left for me to achieve after that.”
The 59-year-old actor added that the Mahabharat story is very deep and emotional. It is rich with many characters, values, and life lessons. Aamir shared, “The narrative is intricate, emotional, expansive, and magnificent. Mahabharat encapsulates everything that exists in the world.” He explained that completing such a project might give him full creative satisfaction.
Talking about the emotional impact of the film, Aamir mentioned, “Perhaps after finishing Mahabharat, I’ll feel as though I want to do nothing else. I am uncertain at this point.”
Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by R. S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The screenplay is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma, and the music is composed by the famous trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Apart from Aamir and Genelia, the film features young actors like Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, and others in major roles.
With Mahabharat, Aamir Khan hopes to bring something grand to the Indian cinema. His words clearly show how emotionally connected he is to this project. Fans are now waiting to see both Sitaare Zameen Par and Mahabharat in the coming years.
